The conference is intended for early years professionals in licensed childcare and EarlyON programs across the Waterloo Region–anyone seeking community, inspiration, and growth in their practice.
This is the Region of Waterloo Children’s Services Division’s 5th Professional Learning Day—a one-day conference designed for early years professionals within licensed childcare and EarlyON programs in Waterloo Region. It’s an opportunity for collaborative learning, exploring equity, well-being, pedagogical practices, and strengthening professional identity.
  • Date & Time: October 27, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (EST).
  • Venue: The conference is held at Bingemans Conference Centre, Waterloo Region with the exception of the “Cooks Stream” located at 40 Shirley Avenue [2.2 km from Bingemans Conference Centre].
The professional learning day aims to foster connection among early childhood professionals through:
  • Collaborative learning rooted in shared values and purpose
  • Exploration of equity, inclusion, Indigenous perspectives, mental health, and professional identity
  • Cross-sector collaboration to enhance long-term impact
Based on attendee feedback, the leadership stream has been moved to November 4. This shift allows the October event to enrich offerings specifically for cooks and the Francophone community, reflecting a broader inclusion.

Due to capacity limits your first selection may not be available. Browse the available options and select a session with open spots.
We recommend work attire with closed-toe shoes suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities. Some sessions will take place outdoors in a tent or in the forest, so please dress comfortably for walking on uneven ground. Since rain is possible, consider bringing a raincoat, umbrella, or poncho. Shuttles will be available to move between locations. This is a fragrance-free event.
Pack your refillable water bottle, a notepad and pen for those aha! moments, and a credit/debit card in case the vendor goodies catch your eye.
As an organization, please delegate 1 site supervisor to register your afternoon session for all your sites and if you require space at Bingemans - confirm number of people you for ALL sites. Everyone will be notified once registration is complete with details of your afternoon.
